HCP Associates Supports Ybor City CRA Through Historic 7th Avenue Bricking Project

The Ybor City CRA has officially begun a project to return historic brick to 7th Avenue. As an homage to the district’s history and unique character, the project primarily aims to slow traffic, improve pedestrian safety, and promote walkability.

HCP Associates partnered with the Ybor City CRA throughout this project, supporting communications and community engagement efforts from start to finish. From messaging to social media updates, “FLASH” email alerts, flyers, and signage guiding pedestrians to businesses through construction, HCP played a key role in keeping the community informed and engaged throughout the project. We also supported city staff during a community meeting, offering an open forum for residents and business owners to learn and discuss the project’s impacts. The first phase of the project, between North 15th and 17th Streets, concluded ahead of schedule with a ribbon-cutting and brick-laying ceremony.
