HCP Provides Community Outreach Study for Florida Department of Transportation
TAMPA, Fla. (March 15, 2020) – HCP Associates completed its rapid survey of Ybor City residents for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). FDOT sought community feedback on enhancements and improvements to be made to the transportation infrastructure within Ybor City.
The survey was designed to understand how to use the remaining parcels of land adjacent to the new planned construction of the 14th Street offramp and other FDOT–owned land in the historic district.
“Community input from processes like these is essential for guiding policymaking,” said HCP’s Sean Coniglio, Managing Partner of the firm. “We heard from all types of voices, with suggestions ranging from skate parks to community gardens. Ultimately, the most requested additions centered around giving pedestrians and bicyclists routes to navigate the district.”
The survey was distributed online to area residents and garnered over 150 respondents during its accelerated window.
