HCP Associates Adds New Content Development Specialist

TAMPA, Fla. (Jan. 14, 2020) – HCP Associates’ Managing Partner Sean Coniglio announced today the firm will expand the team by welcoming Shirleyn Babu as a new Content Development Specialist. Babu was formerly a communications intern with HCP and focused on developing social media content for clients. Her role will now expand to creating content across all mediums for the firm’s clientele.

Originally from Kerala, India, Babu was born and raised in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Babu fosters an inherent passion for writing and content generation. Her outgoing and risk-taking personality encouraged her to travel across the globe to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Public Relations and a minor in music from the University of Tampa. She quickly immersed herself into the communications field and became comfortable with creating stories and writing content with the use of her organization, planning and creative skills.

“Shirleyn gained great experience and learned a lot about multiple industries during her advanced internship, and this is a great opportunity for us to bring her on as a Content Development Specialist,” said Eric Polins, a Managing Partner of HCP. “Her knowledge of social media and experiential content development is a major benefit for our clients.”

As a Content Development Specialist at HCP, Babu will create content ranging from press releases to innovative and compelling subject matter for B2B/B2C clients, utilizing digital and traditional marketing and PR tactics. She will research, write, and edit copy for clients, such as print and online articles, newsletters, media kits, infographics, case studies, blog posts, websites and social media content. Babu will collaborate with team members across all departments to implement strategic content plans.

Before working at HCP, Babu was a Social Media Intern at the University of Tampa’s Research and Inquiry Department. She also worked as a Digital Content Consultant at Blastline LLC, an equipment supplier in Dubai. Babu gained experience in managing different social media accounts and targeting diverse audiences.

Babu has a passion for traveling, the environment, different cultures, food and music. Outside the office, she enjoys performing at open-mic nights, visiting new places and spending time with her family, friends and dog.
