HCP Completed Snapshot Research for Hillel Academy of Tampa
TAMPA, Fla. (October 9, 2013) Hillel Academy of Tampa, a Jewish day school located in the heart of Carrollwood, recently engaged HCP to evaluate its current student recruitment practices. The ultimate goal for the school was to obtain guidance on strategies that would increase enrollment, enhance awareness of the school, and reveal ways to target new families.
In order to develop solid recommendations, HCP launched a comprehensive research plan, involving interviews with stakeholders and review of surrounding competitors. Interviews were conducted with five unique stakeholder groups based upon their relationship to the school and tenure of involvement, with the purpose of gauging their experience and understanding their perceptions of the school’s strengths and opportunities for growth. The competitor research involved secret shopping trips to local private schools and an analysis of their recruiting process, as well as review of their websites and positioning.
Based upon collective feedback and secondary market analysis of the Jewish population, the research led the team to develop a series of recommendations focused on ways for the school to emphasize the value of becoming a part of the Hillel family for the students as well as parents. Recommendations also focused on ways for the school to enhance its communication and community outreach to broaden awareness of the positive things the school and its students are doing.
