March 29, 2011 – HCP & Associates Presents Market Research at 15th Annual Downtown Development Forum
Tampa, FL (March 29, 2011) – R. Pat Hill, President of HCP & Associates, presented an overview of the 2010 Downtown Worker and Resident Studies to Tampa Downtown Partnership at the 15th Annual Downtown Development Forum on Friday, March 18, 2011. The research results are from a series of biennial studies of Downtown Tampa residents and workers; HCP & Associates performed the original study in 2008.
The market research reveals that changes have occurred, since 2008, in the resident and worker satisfaction and participation. Respondents also shared a high level of interest in pending and future Downtown additions.

Data revealed changes in the resident and worker demographics, positive reactions towards the prospect of bringing more retail, entertainment and events to Downtown and strong sentiment towards urban retail shopping options. Despite wanting more, participation levels were strong for many of the current Downtown venues.
A copy of the slides shared at the Downtown Development Forum is available on the Tampa Downtown Partnership’s website.
In addition to the study reveal, the event hosted Tampa business leaders and government officials, and provided attendees with updates on the topics of Downtown growth, development and transportation. For a link to the presentations, visit the Development Forum website.
