HCP Associates Presents Findings of the 33rd Annual Sarasota County Citizen Opinion Survey
VENICE, Fla. (October 23, 2024) – HCP Associates recently presented the 33rd Annual Sarasota County Citizen Opinion Survey findings to the Board of County Commissioners.
These results were presented alongside USF Associate Professor of Communication Dr. Joshua Scacco and a fellow USF student, Isabella Rengifo. This working relationship with HCP allows students to gain useful experience with applied research.
HCP began partnering on this study in 2018 and has since helped enhance the questionnaire and sample size to better reflect the growth in Sarasota County since the first study was conducted. Topics explored in the 2024 survey included citizen satisfaction, personal stressors, county budget, environmental issues, public safety, and more.
“Each year, this study proves to be an indispensable source of information for Sarasota County, offering valuable insights into residents’ views on various topics and concerns,” said Jack Smith, Research Analyst at HCP Associates. “The methodology allows for an insightful perspective on how sentiments and opinions have evolved over the years while maintaining engagement from the community.”
These insights provided by HCP’s research help guide the administration’s strategic decision-making process and future public outreach. It will also recommend where residents believe improvement should occur and gauge how satisfied they are living in Sarasota County.
