HCP Associates Presents Findings of 32nd Annual Sarasota County Citizen Opinion Survey
SARASOTA, Fla. (September 27, 2023)— HCP Associates recently presented the findings of the 32nd Annual Sarasota County Citizen Opinion Survey to the Board of County Commissioners.
These results were presented alongside USF Associate Professor of Communication Dr. Joshua Scacco and a fellow USF student. This working relationship with HCP allows students to gain useful experience with applied research.
HCP began their partnership on this study in 2018 and has since helped enhance the questionnaire and sample size to better reflect the growth that has occurred in Sarasota County since the first study was conducted. This research explored several topics including citizen satisfaction and expectations, personal stressors, county budget, environmental issues, transportation, and infrastructure.
“Each year, this study proves to be an indispensable source of information for our county, offering valuable insights into residents’ views on a wide array of topics and concerns,” said Robert Allen, Vice President at HCP Associates. “The continued use of core questions provides an insightful perspective on how sentiments and opinions have evolved, some questions capturing responses for more than 3 decades.”
These insights provided by HCP’s research help guide the administration’s strategic decision-making process and future public outreach. It will also recommend where residents believe improvement should occur and gauge how satisfied they are living in Sarasota County.
