HCP Associates Wins Angel Award for Non-Profit Campaign

TAMPA Fla. (April 16, 2019) – Yesterday the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Fourth District recognized HCP Associates with a Silver Angel Award for excellence in public service advertising on behalf of non-profit client, 21 & Change Inc.
The Angel Awards showcases exceptional work that fulfills impactful goals, benefits the community and stands above the rest.
President of 21 & Change John Bodor said, “From branding and design to digital support and more, HCP Associates has been our benefactor since our inception almost a year ago. They took our concept and ideas to build a professional, world class portfolio. Eric Polins and Sean Coniglio are a blessing to our organization and our community. Without them, we would not be where we are today.”
21 & Change was founded on the premise that all human lives have value and that all should have the opportunity to discover their full potential. The organization takes an active role in promoting inclusion in the community, public school system, workplace and the pursuit of the full measure of civil rights for all. As a newly established organization, the founders engaged HCP’s expertise to develop a name, brand and a marketing platform to strategically align with their mission.
HCP Associates conducted secondary research and studied similar organizations on a regional and state level to rationalize the brand position of “Ending the Down syndrome ‘syndrome.’ HCP designed and launched a website, social media channels, public relations, print and digital collateral and various other marketing-related tactics.
This brand model created programs championing advocacy, support and niche services currently not offered in the Tampa Bay area. These programs and services include: the “First Connection” program, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) advocacy and IEP scholarship program, assistive technology information and resources focused on speech and education, and the “Every Parent a Leader” program.
HCP promoted the concept of seeing individuals as “differently-abled” as opposed to “disabled.” The team also led in the planning of the first annual fundraising event “Champions for Change,” which further rallied support in Tampa Bay. The design of business cards, t-shirts and a trifold brochure were other key aspects in this campaign effort.
The organization’s efforts span the local, state and federal levels to address their issues and promote social and policy change. With the help of like-minded parents and other supporters, 21 & Change intends to bring these issues to light with congressional representatives.
21 & Change is strategically partnered with: Global Down Syndrome Foundation, National Down Syndrome Society, National Down Syndrome Congress, Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates and Pam Lindemann – The IEP Advocate.
Over the past 33 years, HCP Associates has worked with a number of non-profit organizations and remains dedicated towards promoting acceptance, raising awareness and making a difference in the community.
The Angel Award show will take place at the end of the first day of ADITUDE on Friday, May 3. ADITUDE is a personal and professional development event with an emphasis on advertising, business development, creativity, trends and best practices.
The event will be hosted at the B Resort & Spa in Disney Springs and will be presented by the AAF Fourth District.
