HCP Associates Wins Four 2014 Telly Awards

TAMPA, Fla. (June 12, 2014) The 35th Annual Telly Awards has named HCP Associates a bronze winner of four Tellys in the 35th Annual Awards Competition. With nearly 10,000 entries from 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor.

The first two Tellys were awarded to HCP on behalf of their long-time client, DENTCO; a Michigan-based Exterior Services Management® Company. HCP produced a three minute custom HD animation/video for DENTCO’s multimedia campaign titled “The Face of Your Exteriors”. The campaign involves the creation of unique faces that take on the elements of the four seasons. DENTCO has “put a face on” snow and ice, landscaping and various other exterior management services for large retail and commercial businesses nationwide for over 30 years.

The DENTCO video received a 2014 People’s Telly Bronze Award for an Internet/Online Commercial Marketing campaign. It also received a 2014 Bronze Award for Internet/Online Commercial Art Direction.

The other two Tellys were awarded to HCP’s 17-year-old independent film company, Gulf+Atlantic Films (GAF); a wholly owned subsidiary of HCP Associates. GAF produced a 16 minute short film in late 2013 titled “The Limbo Kings”. The Indie film featured JFK, Oswald, Monroe and Ruby in an afterlife waiting room. Coincidentally, the film made its global premiere at The Gasparilla International Film Festival in April. The film won a 2014 People’s Telly Bronze Award for a non-broadcast production and a 2014 Bronze Award for non-broadcast production lighting. The film was also recently invited to The Sunscreen and Innovative Film Festivals.

Eric Polins, Senior Brand Strategist/Partner at HCP Associates said, “We are extremely pleased and honored to receive four Tellys. We did a large amount of film and non-broadcast work and it’s always a wonderful feeling to receive such a prestigious award among such talented and respected colleagues. We are thankful for a solid production community with many talented artists and even more grateful to our clients that allow us to draw outside the lines.”

For its 35th season, The Telly Awards once again joined forces with YouTube to give the public the power to view and rate videos submitted as part of the People’s Telly Awards.  In addition to recognition from the Silver Telly Council, the judging panel that selects the Telly Awards winners, the Internet community helps decide the People’s Telly Awards winners.

A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents.  The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work – entries do not compete against each other – rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit.  Less than 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Silver Telly, our highest honor.  Approximately 25% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Bronze Telly.

“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards.  HCP Associates’ accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”
