Challenge: Since 1989, Universal Dynamics, Inc. (UDI) has been a leading high-tech consulting firm for the integration of security systems around the world. UDI began as a provider of IT based technologies and soon developed into an integrator of diverse innovations for comprehensive security solutions. UDI wanted to increase their international footprint and take their company to the next level in defense contracting.

Solution: In 2010, UDI retained HCP for a multi-year marketing agreement. HCP provides a range of full-service marketing consulting services including research and development, strategic planning and event management.

HCP immediately executed an international brand platform and positioning statement — “We Protect What You Create”. In addition, HCP redesigned the UDI logo in order to resemble the global impact they have so earnestly achieved.  The UDI web presence, created from scratch, utilized the same brand theme, and a full international public relations campaign was launched along with the implementation of a dynamic international tradeshow management system.

Universal Dynamics, Inc. has formed alliances with leading high-tech firms that have created and tested quality security products, supplying the global market with all the necessary tools for a safe environment, including day/night video surveillance cameras, facial recognition, smart ID cards, fingerprint identification, steel crash barriers and industrial fences.

Today, the company offers comprehensive security solutions, strategically teaming with leading defense firms focusing on small, medium and large-scale projects. UDI’s specialization is Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (ATFP), Access Control Point (ACP), Entry Control Point (ECP) and Sensor Integration for global customers. The new brand image has enabled UDI to approach its four primary markets—government, commercial, defense and energy—with a more streamlined and corporate image. This image translates into a different perception, in the eyes of prospective international business.
