Challenge: Palm Island has been a key destination for Florida tourism for over 30 years. The Resort has continued to maintain its old-Florida style while catering to a more modern time. Facing a recovering economy in a state that was struggling to increase tourism, Palm Island Resort needed a creative plan to raise the awareness of the resort and increase annual room revenue.

Solution: HCP began to analyze the booking reports at hand. In 2009, there was a significant pattern in the geographic locations for the guests inquiring about the resort. Most of the web traffic and booking reports were tracked back to the Tampa and Sarasota areas.

HCP developed a plan to intensify the awareness in these markets as well as neighboring areas. With comprehensive publication and promotional research, we helped Palm Island to gain a stronger presence. Throughout the past two years Palm Island has continued to increased annual bookings and has prominently increased their market.

To take communication to the next level, HCP recently created a social media plan for the resort. Through research and innovative media campaigns the Palm Island’s online community continues to grow.
