Challenge: Camp Boggy Creek was founded by renowned philanthropists Paul Newman and General H. Norman Schwarzkopf. This Eustis-based camp was created to enrich the lives of children who have chronic or life threatening illnesses, by creating camping experiences that are memorable, exciting, fun, empowering, physically safe and medically sound. The camp offers weeklong summer sessions for the children, and family retreat weekends for the whole family. HCP was tasked to conceptualize, develop and produce four unique HD broadcast quality public service announcements to attract camp volunteers, philanthropists, medical volunteers and foster general interest in the camp statewide.
Solution: HCP produced four HD Camp Boggy Creek commercials that aired two times a day on 19 channels for three months. With over 3,000 spots, the exposure was a huge financial success for the fundraising campaign titled “Let the Love Shine”. The spots appeared on channels like CNBC, TNT, ESPN, ESPNHD, ESPN 2, ESPN Classics, HGTV, Food Network, Disney, and many more.
The spots received several industry accolades, including awards from Ava, Hermes, MarCom, Videographer and many others.
